October Card Classes Can you believe it is October already? Thought we had better get a move on & start our Christmas cards.    These are the cards we will be making in both our October card classes. We always love kraft & white, especially when it is teamed with this lovely gold spotty foil paper & another of our favourite papers, the ever popular gold sparkly paper ( loads of colours available in store too). Just the perfect match.   As always we are using lots of gorgeous Chrissy dies (all of which are available in our shop at The Entrance). From the beautiful fine candles, the Chrissy bells & on top of that we are hand making this  stunning pointsettia!!!!

  Hi there, thanks for calling by. Today we have the cards that Di Garling will be teaching in her September card classes.     Rather nice wouldn't you agree? We love the baby shoes card & that pops into a little handmade box. Then we have the sweet little sewing theme card. Don't you just love that sweet little scissors charm on it? Next we have an easel card that naturally stands up & we have adorned it with a gorgeous handmade flower. (Adapted from Barbara's rose tutorial last month)

Hi there everyone, thought you might like to have a look at the cards Di has designed for her July card classes. The one on the left has some mixed media techniques on it, & not to  mention that adorable little bow.. We love the Piano card, again some great technique tips here and lastly we are finishing off with this sweet little baby diaper card adorned with this super cute little die cut bear.   Di has used some of our NEW dies we have available in the shop.

Hi there everyone, thought you might like to have a look at the cards Di has designed for her June card classes. The one on the left is a "Double Easel Card", so very pretty. Di has used some of our NEW dies we have available in the shop, don't you just love the high heel shoe?  That is a newly released die from a new company, Tattered Angels. So so fine & delicate. The big music note is also another new release die we have in stock. Make sure you pop in store & check them all out.  We have so many new dies on order & they are all starting to filter in. She has also used lots of beautiful Green Tara flowers.

MAY CARD CLASSESGetting Back to Normal

Getting back to normal finally..... Hello there everyone, my names is Kirsty Kitchener & I am the NEW OWNER of Di's Scrapbook Shop here at The Entrance. We are slowly getting back to normal, we have done soooo many orders for new stock & that is all starting to filter in. Naturally we will be  stocking most of the brands that Di Garling stocked. We think if those are the  brands that you all want, then why change things. Like the old saying goes, "If it isn't broke, why fix it". Everything will stay the same as it was before, the only difference is that I am the new owner.   Classes resume this week for both scrapbooking & cardmaking too. Di will still be designing & teaching for us twice a week .

  These are the cards for Di's Card Classes this month. We still have a couple of places available so if you would like to join us, ring the shop to book your place on 43344451   TIMES Friday 23rd May 10am to 2pm  or Friday 30th May 10am to 2pm     PLUS
Scrapbooking Classes

  Scrapbooking classes will also commence this week too, starting off with this layout  that Di Garling will be teaching this coming Wednesday 21st May at 10.30am This background is created using stamps & Gelatos, so if you would like to learn how to use Gelatos, this would be the perfect class for you.   Lots more Scrapbooking classes coming up too, so stay tuned until  later in the week for all the info on those.

Meet the NEW Owners

Well it is official.......Di's Scrapbook shop sale was completed toady &  was handed over to the new owners, Kirsty & Brenden. So that makes me officially retired. Yay!!!!

It is eight years since I started Di's Scrapbooks & I have enjoyed the journey & made so many friends along the way, but the time has come to retire & I have to say, I am over the moon happy.
Please come in & meet the new owners & introduce yourself. After a short break I will be back teaching some classes so  stay tuned for that, we will let you know what & when.

  Yes thats right,I have sold the shop after only about 6 weeks'& we are just waiting on the sale to be finalised. Hopefully in the next week.

As you may or may not know, I am retiring so my shop, Di's Scrapbooks at The Entrance NSW is up for SALE.    I started my little scrapbook shop eight years ago & I have to say, I have loved every minute of it. I have made so many wonderful friends & I hope in some small way I have made a contribution to the local scrapbooking & card making community.   I have had another birthday & have just become a first time Grandmother to a gorgeous little girl. All of this has made me decide it is time to retire !!!   I am soooo excited & can't wait. It is a really exciting time. March Card Classes

Hello there, thanks for calling by. Today I wanted to show you the cards we will be making in our  March Card Classes.  We have gone for a vintage theme this month. Soft & pretty with a little stamping, die cutting & distressing.

February Card Classes

Hello there, thanks for calling by. Today I have some cards & a "Card Box" to show you that we will be making in our February card classes.
This month, instead of making our usual three cards, we are going to make two cards & a "card box" for when you have a bulkier than  normal card that an envelope doesn't quite accomodate.   This card box is made using our WeR Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board which we sell in our shop at The Entrance.

As well as making sixty six (66) different size envelopes, this little tool will also make lots & lots of different size  "card boxes" to fit any size card.  So if you have one of these tools, make sure  you bring it to class with you.  If not we can lend you one. Too easy.
For our cards this month we are going to do a little "mixed media" using gesso, texture paste & mists to create our own card backgrounds. I just know you will enjoy this class.
