"So Cheeky"

Hello everyone. Today I thought I would show you a page I did recently that features a "Time Line" using several photos.  I really love these pics of Jaxon & I thought they would be just perfect for this page. I have used loads of "boy" elements plus lots of stamping, misting & a great little Twiddleybitz Steampunk Cog  corner to finish it off. I hope you like it & maybe get a few ideas for boy pages. Until next week.   Cheers Di x
PS..Please excuse the quality of my main photo but I am having serious camera issues. I am definately going out on the weekend to buy a NEWcamera! Pin It Now!

"Sweet Memories"

Hello everyone. This week I thought I would share this page I have done recently. I have wanted to do a white on white page for ages. Hence because there is no contrast of different colours I have relied heavily on textures. For my background I have painted a piece of corrugated cardboard white. I have used a Dusty Attic Page Frame that I applied Impasto medium to create this nice lumpy effect. I have used Words or Whatever chippie words,  Torso & Fob Watch, Green Tara & Prima flowers & a Tim Holtz Die to cut the big round clock face & Film Strip. I have literally painted just about everything on this page white!!! Hope you like it, if you do please leave me a comment & let me know what you think. Until next week   . Cheers Di  xx Pin It Now!

"Our Little Angel"

Hello again everyone. Today I thought I had better show you something "girly" for a change!!! The last few weeks I have been focused on lots of boy pages, so as promised here is a feminine "girly" page. I have used loads of yummy Green Tara Flowers, leaves, rosebuds & their tiny pre made bows. I have also used that Paper String that I seem to be talking a lot about lately to tie this big bow with. The pink trim & lace are also both from Green Tara. They just have sooo many nice laces & ribbons, sometimes it is hard to choose which one to use. Also on this page I have used some of their fab Metal Hearts. As usual I have used another great Border Punch, "Words or Whatever" chipboard words & lastly if you look closely you might be able to see a Butterfly that I have stamped & cut out of acetate. Thanks for stopping by my blog, if you like this page leave a comment.  Until next week.    Cheers Di  xx Pin It Now!

Happy 5th Birthday Storewide Sale

My little shop "Di's Scrapbook Shop"(See link opposite)  is turning five this month. In scrapbook circles this is a real achievement. I am very proud of my shop & all it represents. We have come a long way since I started it up five long years ago. We have made so many great friends & had so much fun along the way. We have taught so many new people how to scrapbook & make cards. I could not have done all of this without the help of my right hand person,  Jan Rankine. Jan is such an asset to our shop. She is both a fab designer & teacher, not to mention everything else she does around the place. Thank you so much Jan, I couldn't run the shop without you.
To celebrate our 5th Birthday we are having a SALE . From now until the end of June we are giving 20% off storewide (excluding machines & class fees).
Also we have a Membership Discount which you normally have to pay $10 to join & that gives you 10% off our already great prices for one year. While our sale is on we are offering this membership for FREE to new members. So make sure you call in & pick up your FREE  Membership Discount Card which will remain valid for one year.    Cheers Di  xx Pin It Now!

NEW Cards for my June Card Classes

Hello everyone. I hope you all had a great week. Did you all survive the cold? This week I thought I would show you the cards I have designed for the  Card Classes at my shop for June. I can also make these up as a kit for you or ring the shop on 43344451 to book in. This month my theme is Black, Gold & Cream. I have used this very yummy foil paper (more colours of these papers due in store next week), more Green Tara Roses (just love these, we stock loads of different colours). On the black card (top) I have also used a really nice Green Tara flower ribbon. On the cream square card I have made a handmade flower(cream) & finished it off with a little Green Tara black bow (if you are not good at doing your own bows, these ones come pre done!!! How good is that) Lastly on this cream card I have used a Tim Holtz Die to cut this lovely flourish from black cardstock.  I have also used  Spellbinder Dies to cut both the  scalloped rectangle, scalloped oval & plain oval.. I have heat embossed in gold on all the cards to add some bling. Also on two of the cards I have used the "Words or Whatever" WOW chippie words for the greeting. These are really great as they give your cards a little bit of dimension & they come in packs with soooo many different greetings in them. We have just got a whole lot of NEW greeting  packs at my shop. Make sure you come in & check these NEW ones out.  The black one I have painted & the gold one is just heat embossed. Also on the oval card I have used a Martha Stewart Border punch to create this little black strip across the card. Anyway until next week, Happy card making.      Cheers Di xx Pin It Now!

Our Wild Child

Hello everyone, this week I thought I would share one more boy page with you all. I promise next week I will post something girly. I have really had a run on boy pages lately. This page is one  that I have given a total remake to. I don't think anyone has ever seen it as I was never happy with it before. I think we all have pages like that!! I actually made it a few months ago but I was never completely happy with it, sooooo,  I pulled it all apart, totally changed the colours as well as  the background & then I added a few more embellishments. Now I am happy with it. I have misted & stamped the background. I haven't actually used any patterned paper (now that is a rarity). I have used  Green Tara Green Mesh Ribbon & my favourite paper string. I just love this stuff. Because it is paper it is so mouldable, if that is a word, not really sure!!! But it is great stuff. I have also used WOW chippie Words, Skeleton heads & Banners, Twiddleybitz Steampuink Cogs, Dusty Attic Wire Mesh & Barb Wire & then I cut a few extra cogs with my Tim Holtz Dies. I have also stamped some little tickets which I have placed under the edges of the photo. I wanted this page to be rather "GRUNGEY" If you look closely you will notice all sorts of little bits that you don't notice at first. Hope you get some inspiration from this. Until next week. Thanks for stopping by. Please leave a comment & let me know what you think!!!        Cheers Di   xx
PS   All products I use on my pages are available for sale at my shop.
